CABIN (18 months-3 Years)
The Balgownie Preschool & Montessori Centre has an environment specially designed for children under the age of three, or 36 months. This environment promotes learning through sensory and practical life experiences, catered specifically to their needs.
The spaces provided are intimate and focus on aiding the development of movement and language skills. These foundational years are crucial for a child's potential development, setting the groundwork for their future.
Throughout the day, the sounds of music and laughter fill the centre as children are allowed the freedom to move between rooms, choosing their own experiences. All elements within this environment serve to further the child's progression, stimulating their imagination and sensory perceptions.
The education provided in both rooms is directed by the Early Years Framework and is developed in partnership with parents.
MAIN ROOM (3-6 Years)
The program caters to the physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs of children. Each child is individually introduced to activities deemed suitable for their needs. As the child is ready, new activities are introduced.

The preschool children are having so much fun they don't even realize they're learning and developing essential life skills. Subject work is carried out throughout the week, enhancing the children's knowledge. It covers cultural events, sustainability, environmental issues, life cycles and many other areas based on the children's interests and developmental stages.

A nearby large park enhances the learning experience as the children engage in gross motor activities and observe the changing seasons. This field trip is loved by everyone!

Children feel valued as they explore, learn, and imagine through a wide variety of play areas during their time with us.
